Dan and I have always had a passion for photography. Dan behind the camera and me organising and displaying the photos afterwards. With so many of our friends and family attending our wedding, we want to be sure to capture you all at your best.

If you have a camera, we'd love you to bring it and snap away, especially if it's digital. With so much happening on the big day there's no way we'll capture it all without help. We plan to have a laptop and a photo printer set up at the reception so we can print photos out on the day to display, and if you don't mind, we would love to have copies of any photos you take.

In recent years we've been pleased to see many of our friends and family blessed with little ones, and we wish to include them at both the ceremony and reception.

During the reception we plan to have a small area at the back of the room set aside for small children to play in, if they wish. If you'd like to bring a couple of quiet toys to help keep them entertained, please feel free.

While the hotel does not offer much in the way of baby changing facilities, we will have a hotel room available. If you need access on the day for nappy changing or short naps one of our ushers will be glad to find you the key.

For those wishing to stay at the hotel there are four family rooms available which allow two children to stay free of charge. The hotel also has a couple of cots available for infants under two. If you require one it may be best to book it early. However, if you can bring a travel cot of your own it would be appreciated so the hotel's cots can be used by those that need them.

By Car

The Leyland Hotel is really easy to find, situated just of junction 28 of the M6.

From the south exit at junction 28, turn left and then take the first left.

If anyone happens to be coming from further north it's essentially the same: Exit at junction 28, turn left and take the first left (not counting the exit ramp for northbound traffic).

Either way you'll see the hotel clearly on the left of the main road.

By Train

If you're travelling by rail the nearest station to the hotel is Leyland. There are trains direct to Leyland from Manchester Piccadilly every hour that take approximately 45 minutes. Wherever you're coming from make sure to check the train times before you leave.

The hotel is about a 25-30 minute walk from Leyland train station. Simply exit the station and turn left. The road steadily loops round taking you back over the train line and you'll shortly find the hotel on your right.

If you are travelling by train let us know as if there are a few guests travelling the same way it may make sense for you to travel together.

Please arrive at around 3:30pm to be seated, as the ceremony will commence at 4 o'clock sharp. The ceremony is expected to last 20 minutes at which point guests will be invited outside for photographs. We'll be starting with the large group photos, after which guests will be free to relax in the hotel lounge where a bar is available.

There will then be a seated hot buffet which will be followed by music and dancing.

Also while ladies are welcome to wear hats, they are by no means required.

Weddings are a celebration not only of love and marriage but also of family. Dan and I have always felt that our wedding would never be complete unless our closest friends and family were there to celebrate with us.

A wedding is not only a milestone of a relationship, but also of life. It's three years now since Dan and I first spoke to each other, ironically at another friends' wedding, and it seems that we've come full circle in holding a wedding of our own.
